SAPPHIRE NOW: Implico presents efficient downstream processes
04/20/2011 SAPPHIRE NOW: Implico presents efficient downstream processesBooth 2159c to exhibit integrated solutions from order acceptance and dispatching to mobility and reconciliation

Consulting and software company Implico will be exhibiting its solutions for optimized downstream processes in the oil and gas sector at SAPPHIRE NOW from 15 to 18 May in Orlando, Florida. This year, the world's leading SAP trade show will once again run alongside the annual US SAP users conference (ASUG). Both events will be held at the Orange County Convention Center. At Implico's booth (no. 2159c), interested delegates can not only learn about the SAP EBS solution OpenTAS but also find out more about solutions for SAP Secondary Distribution: IDM, SAP OGSD und CPR.
In the area of SAP Secondary Distribution, the focus will be on mobility, optimum tour planning and real-time data transfer. One highlight will be a live demo of IDM (Integrated Dispatch Management). Developed by Implico, this SAP solution for intelligent transport planning enables dispatchers to create optimum tours while accounting for limitations imposed by the customer, the product and the vehicles deployed. The live demo will show the complete workflow, from order acceptance through to dispatching, tour optimization, driver communication and confirmation – and all in real-time. Implico will also be using iPads to demonstrate the integration of mobile terminals.
Version 6.1 of SAP OGSD (SAP Oil & Gas Secondary Distribution) will also be showcased by Implico. SAP OGSD 6.1 offers users significant performance benefits compared to its predecessor: The "demand forecast" feature is much easier to use, the format of the supplied interfaces is now considerably more flexible, the note feature has been simplified and the user interface design is now more modern and straightforward. Release 6.1 also supports Map&Guide's PTV XServer.
Also on show at SAPPHIRE will be CPR (Continuous Product Replenishment), Implico's add-on component for SAP OGSD. CPR offers additional methods for periodic resupply and consumption forecasts, thus increasing the precision of both these processes. Companies can thus improve their customer services and at the same time ensure optimum fleet utilization and thereby reduce freight fees.
For terminal management and service station replenishment, Implico will be showcasing OpenTAS, one of the leading terminal management and distribution systems. OpenTAS is the only SAP EBS solution (SAP Endorsed Business Solution) in this segment worldwide and thus highly integrated into the SAP processes. The solution optimizes and automates the logistical and administrative downstream processes for terminals and refineries. At SAPPHIRE, Implico will present not only features enabling automated service station supply but also systems that ensure efficient terminal management and flawless data communications between the loading system and the SAP architecture.
